Dr. Shilpi Pradhan

I am a graduate of Emory University for college and Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine, earning my medical degree in 2004. Throughout my career, I have worked in various private practices, served as an assistant professor at Saint Louis University, and eventually opened my own practice, Eye Doctor MD PC, in Glen Allen, VA, in 2015.

During the pandemic, I found myself drawn to a new endeavor. It all started with my kids' books. When we had nothing to do, I gathered all the poems my daughter wrote and asked her to create illustrations for them. Though it didn't initially succeed, this experience sparked an interest in me to self-publish her books, both as a keepsake and for her. It's been a magical journey to see her become a published author at the age of 11.

This journey led me into the realm of self-publishing. I took courses, delved into the process, and found success with subsequent books. Inspired by this experience, I challenged myself to write my own book, completing it in just three months. As I shared my journey with my colleagues, I found myself teaching and inspiring them to embark on their own publishing endeavors.

The impact was significant—my colleagues received awards at their hospital, gained speaking opportunities, and even appeared on podcasts with millions of viewers. Seeing this, I realized the potential to help others navigate the often daunting self-publishing journey. That's why I've created my own course, designed to inspire and guide fellow doctors through the process. I've made it easy and comprehensive, ensuring that anyone can achieve their publishing dreams.
